The TFC Child and Family Therapist provides intervention and treatment to children, adolescents, and their families based on the family needs and strengths. These services include but is not limited to crisis management, assessments, psycho-educational groups; individual therapy, and family therapy as needed. Provides clinical assessment and diagnosis using the DSM IV and DSM V model for each client on caseload; provide an annual update if necessary. Maintains client records insuring that documentation is timely, accurate, and maintained according to established agency policy, TFC procedures, and Licensing and Child Placement Agency standards. Collaborates with staff psychiatrist in consultation/assessment of mutually assigned clients. Coordinates with Treatment Coordinators in the development and updating of treatment plans, in addition to attending scheduled treatment team meetings.
Must be licensed in the State of New Mexico: Licensed Psychiatrist or Psychologist, LISW, LMSW, LPCC, LMHC, LMHC or LMFT or LPC, LAT. Must pass a criminal background check; maintain a current driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and maintain a clean driving record. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
