Provides direct primary care health services to LCDF patients within the scope of practice allowed by law, regulations and delineation of privileges. Consistently utilizes resources and equipment appropriately to avoid over or under utilization. This includes use of laboratory, radiology services, and referrals to specialists with an awareness Collaborates with all clinic staff to promote and maintain respectful and effective working relationships and to assure consistent compliance with LCDF policies and objectives as well as standards for quality care.of cost effectiveness, under the supervision of site physician according to LCDF policies.
Graduate from a Nurse Practitioner program with additional training in primary care - e.g., diabetes education, women's health – preferred but not required. Licensure by the New Mexico Board of Nursing to practice, or eligibility for licensure; Board Certification in a primary care specialty; DEA certification; New Mexico Board of Pharmacy certification. Must have valid New Mexico driver’s license and current automobile insurance. Spanish-speaking a plus.
