Job Description:

The Medical Assistant performs patient care duties in collaboration with and under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The main nursing roles are processing patients, taking vital signs, and preparing the exam rooms for appointments. The main laboratory roles are processing laboratory requisitions, phlebotomy, and performing automated blood (CBC) and urine analysis.

Job Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent. One year of clinical/medical office experience; two years preferred. Active Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited teaching establishment (please include certification number and expiration); experience as a phlebotomist preferred. Must pass a criminal background check; maintain a current driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and maintain a clean driving record. Bilingual English/Spanish required.
