The Behavioral Health Support Specialist is directly supervised by the Behavioral Health Support/Intake Coordinator and works closely with front desk, medical records, financial eligibility and program management teams. Often the first point of contact for individuals seeking services, the Support Specialist works directly with patients and families by providing a welcoming environment, providing information regarding services, requesting and collecting necessary information, assisting patients complete required paperwork, and entering data into the organization’s electronic systems or files. The Support Specialist also provides support to program management teams.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Employee is required to complete required initial/ongoing Behavioral Health Specialties related training in a timely fashion and complete Promotora training within one year of employment.
