Mobile Crisis Support Worker (Full-Time)

Job Description:

The Mobile Crisis Support Worker will assist the Mobile Crisis Therapist in crisis intervention and de-escalation, maintaining or establishing community stabilization, client support and/or supervision, behavior management training and assistance; provision and assistance in accessing appropriate community referrals. Will assist in ensuring Mobile Crisis Team member safety.


Job Requirements:

High school diploma, but must have a minimum of 1 year experience in working with crisis calls or community mental health OR Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field. Must be able to respond within 20 minutes of being informed of a crisis situation county-wide (Doña Ana). Must be at least 21 years of age. Must pass a criminal background check; maintain a current driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and maintain a clean driving record. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of community mental health, alcohol, and/or substance abuse services. Knowledge of program planning, development, and implementation of services for special populations.
