User Support Technician

Job Description:

The User Support Technician responds to immediate user support needs in regard to hardware and software installation and trouble-shooting, basic operating system and applications training, and network systems administration. The User Support Technician must have good verbal and written communication skills to interact directly with users and vendors, and to maintain logs, inventories and other records to insure the smooth functioning of the organization on a day-to-day basis.

Job Requirements:

Associates Degree in Computer Science of Related Field and one year related experience. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all employees and department needs.. Must be a self-initiating and adaptable with an ability to communicate to a variety of staff members. Must possess good oral and written communication skills. Must be highly organized and use analytical skills. Must have high attention to detail. Must be a highly organized person. Must have advanced understanding of IBM computers. DOS, Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel. Unix/Linux knowledge a plus.
